Brush Assembly and Disassembly

If you are having any troubles with the assembly or disassembly of your pool brush, the video below should provide everything you need to master the process. It’s actually quite simple, once you get the hang of it.

Broken, Worn or Missing Parts

If your pool brush arrived to you with broken or missing parts, please be sure to file your warranty claim right away that so that we can get a new brush or new part out to you right away. Similarly, if any portion of your brush is broken or worn or lost, please file a claim. We’ll get the part, or a new brush, shipped out to you right away. Obviously, there will be no charge.

My Brush Keeps “Skipping & Hopping”

In the vast majority of cases, this is due to the “angle of attack”. If you adjust the angle of your bristles in relationship to the surface you are scrubbing, often you can alleviate this issue. For instance, if scrubbing the pool wall, if you hold the top of your pole further away from you (out over the pool), you’ll shift the pool brush bristles into a more perpendicular position with the wall, resulting in less “skipping” as you scrub.

If you find that you cannot find a good angle to minimize the “skipping” action, and it makes using the brush too frustrating, you can always request a full refund of your purchase price, even if you are outside of Amazon’s standard return/refund window. Simply contact our customer service department directly by phone or electronic means, and we’ll issue a full refund. You will not be required to ship the brush back to us.

Keep in mind that, if you receive a full refund of your purchase price, you will no longer be covered by our lifetime warranty.

Difficulty Pushing or Pulling the Brush

This is because the ProTuff brush is designed with a stiffer, more durable bristle. Although lesser quality bristles do sometimes make it easier to push and pull the brush along the bottom and sides of your pool, they also do not do a very good job of actually scrubbing away stains and residue. They also do not get down into any cracks and crevices very well, leaving behind much of what you’re trying to clean.

So, although it can sometimes take just a bit more strength or effort to push the ProTuff brush along your pool surface, you get much more scrubbing action with every stroke, meaning the job will be done much faster and with much better end result than with cheaper, more flexible, bristles on other brushes.

Please note, however, if this proves to be a real problem for you, we offer a no questions asked, 100% refund policy. If you ever decide you are unhappy with your pool brush (even beyond Amazon’s standard return/refund window), you can always request a refund directly from ProTuff, and you will not be required to ship the brush back to us. You will, of course, no longer be covered by our lifetime warranty, but if you’re not happy with your brush, we don’t want your money.
